Send in your bass sound clips...

Clips will be reviewed and added to the AltGuitarBass.com Bass Sounds page if is felt that they can give the listener a good overview of the type of bass they are interested in hearing. If you are considering recording a clip for review, please stick to the following guidelines as closely as possible. Remember, we're really focusing on tone here. The groove and the flash take a back seat.

Guidelines for recording your sound clips

• All clips should be submitted in MP3 format.
• Players can submit 4 clips each.
• Please keep the clips no longer than 25 seconds.
• They can be solo bass, scales, exercises. A solo within a song will be considered, if it can be heard well.
• The clips must come with a detailed description which includes the following information:
  • Name of player.
  • Manufacturer of bass.
  • Model of bass (including number of strings).
  • Strings used for the clip. Please include brand, type & gauge, approximate age of strings when played on clip and if you can't remember, make something up.
  • Type of pickup(s) and eq. (factory or custom installed, active or passive, style of pickup, ie. P, J, Soabar, etc.).
  • Amp used in recording if any.
  • Recording method (digital, tape...include a "brief" description).
